1. Logistics & Freight Liability
Our liability for loss or damage to goods is strictly limited by international conventions including the CMR and Hague-Visby rules where applicable.
We're committed to the highest standards of care. However, shippers must understand that unless otherwise agreed in writing, SMILE MOVING & STORAGE INC. operates under standard industry limitation of liability clauses.
Have you secured adequate marine insurance? We highly recommend all clients verify their cargo insurance coverage before transit initiation.
By engaging our services, you acknowledge that our pricing reflects these risk allocations. We don't accept liability for consequential losses or delays beyond our direct control.
All claims must be submitted in writing within 7 business days of delivery. No exceptions can be made for late notifications.
2. Warehousing Terms
All storage is subject to our Warehouse Receipt terms. Items left beyond 90 days without payment may be subject to a lien under NY state law.
3. Forwarding
Acting as agents only for international transit segments. We use only vetted carriers.
